1-1 Teaching Assistant – St. Helen’s
Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and supporting early development? We are currently seeking a committed and caring 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in St. Helen’s, starting in September.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing individualised support
- Assisting with classroom activities and developmental tasks in line with the National Curriculum
- Supporting the pupil’s personal, social, and emotional development
- Monitoring and recording the pupil’s progress, behaviour, and engagement
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external agencies to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to build the pupil’s confidence and independence
- Assisting with personal care, where required
What We’re Looking For:
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Recent childcare or school-based experience within the last 2 years
- Ability to provide two references confirming your experience with children
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning
- Experience working 1-1 with children with additional needs is desirable but not essential
