We are currently seeking to appoint a PPA Teacher to work in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in St. Helens. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced primary teacher looking for a flexible and rewarding role, covering classes across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS1 and KS2 to cover teachers’ planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time

  • Adapt teaching to meet the varying needs of pupils across different classes

  • Maintain continuity of learning and uphold high classroom standards in the absence of class teachers

  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment

  • Liaise with class teachers and senior leaders to ensure a consistent approach to learning and classroom management

  • Mark work and provide feedback in line with the school’s policies

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Recent experience teaching across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with pupils and staff

  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a proactive attitude

  • Experience working with pupils with additional needs (desirable)

  • Two professional references relating to recent teaching experience

  • A current Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

  • Right to work in the UK
