Salary/ Rate: £62-£66 per day

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an EBD Teaching Assistant to work across EYFS, through to Key Stage 5 at a school in the North West with pupils with Special Educational Needs including very challenging behaviour. This role is for 5 days per week, is to start in September working full time.

The ideal candidate will have previous EBD Teaching Assistant experience, working with pupils with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. Previous experience working with pupils with Autism is highly desirable.  An understanding and training in PEC’s, Teach or Team Teach would be desirable.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 experience
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

The role will start as soon as possible. They are looking for a teacher to take over the class and demonstrate outstanding teaching with experience of working in the field. Working in a friendly, lively and vibrant school.

The role is for a full time position starting as soon as possible on a potentially long term basis. The role would suit a good secondary trained teacher with SEN experience who is strong and resilient to challenging behaviour. It will be working in Key Stage 3 and 4 with a mixture of Year 10’s and 11’s pupils with SEMH delivering lessons in varied Design Technology.

The School are looking at taking on either an NQT or a Qualified Teacher for this role as long as the ideal candidate is able to implement strong behaviour management strategies whilst adhering to school policies. Previous teaching experience is desirable.

The role would suit a good secondary trained teacher with SEN experience. It will be working in Key Stage 3 and 4 with a mixture of Year 10’s and 11’s pupils with SEMH delivering lessons in Resistant Materials and Product Design. The ideal candidate must be confident in working with the machines and have exp working in the field.
The school can be quite challenging so will need to be strong and resiliant.
