The role will be working in a Special School working with Secondary aged pupils with Complex Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties and Challenging Behaviour. The role will involve teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science to with pupils with extreme behavioural difficulties.

Applicants must be Qualified Teacher Status and have experience working with pupils with SEBD ideally in a Special School setting. An enhanced disclosure will be required which will be payable by the candidate.

Applicants must have;

Experience working with pupils with SEBD ideally in a Special School setting
Experience of working with children with Challenging Behaviour

ASD Teaching Assistant

ASD Teaching Assistant needed.

A Special Needs Teaching Assistant is required to work in a Special Needs School supporting pupils with Autism, Speech and Communication Difficulties and challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will have a have strong background working with SEN pupils and experience working with Secondary pupils.

An understanding and training in PEC’s, Teacch or Team Teach would also be desirable.

Cover Supervisor

We are crying out for Cover Supervisors in the Runcorn area as we currently don’t have enough people available for the opportunities that we have. Cover Supervisors are needed on an ongoing basis to manage a classroom of pupils while enabling a constructive learning environment. Applicants are expected to have at least 6 months experience of working with children in the past 2 years, formal qualifications are not necessary.

Applicants who have experience teaching sports clubs to children, attended Camp America or Active Soccer or have other similar experiences will be suitable for the role.

In the role you will be expected to;

Provide the pupils with work already set by the Teacher
Collect work after each lesson
Provide feedback where appropriate

Working as a Cover Supervisor is an ideal way of building on past school experience for those looking to gain a career in the education sector or go on to complete Teacher Training.

Primary ASD Teacher

Primary ASD Teacher NEEDED.

A Primary Teacher is required working at an all age Special School for children and young people with severe and complex Learning Difficulties. The role is teaching a mixed age Primary class. The class has pupils with a wide range of needs and abilities and therefore a good understanding of sensory activities and working a P – Levels is essential.

The role with be delivering a range of subjects to a number of pupils working at levels considerably lower than the National average. Strong classroom and behaviour management is essential as well as the ability to quickly build rapport with pupils who can have challenging behaviour.

Primary Teaching Assistants

We are crying out for Teaching Assistants in the Warrington area as we currently don’t have enough people available for the opportunities that we have.

We are currently looking for a Level 2/3 qualified Teaching Assistants to provide a complimentary service to existing teachers and pastoral staff in the school. You will be addressing the needs of children who require help to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside the school, in order to achieve their full potential and to enable the school to raise standards of achievement, improve attendance and raise standards of behaviour. You will need to also work in a pastoral role with identified children’s families and work in partnership with other professional agencies.

In addition, you will:

work with pupils on individual targets set by teaching staff
organise liaison on behalf of pupils with colleagues, parents and outside agencies in a professional manner being aware of confidentiality
be able to support and develop our nurture group
support for teachers by raising the awareness of teaching staff to the strengths and difficulties of individual pupils
assist teaching staff in the monitoring and evaluation of pupils’ progress, providing them with feedback on observations undertaken
understanding the emotional and social needs of pupils with whom working and contribute to planning of learning activities
assist in the assessment and monitoring of individual pupils and their Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for children who need learning support
completed other duties as required by the teaching staff

The pupil is non-verbal so experience of using PEC’s would be highly desirable. The role will involve learning through play activities.
