The Role
As an Art & Food Technology Technician, you will provide essential support to both the Art and Food Technology departments, ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing materials, equipment and resources for practical lessons
- Supporting teachers and students during practical activities
- Maintaining stock levels and ordering supplies when required
- Ensuring classrooms, preparation areas and equipment are clean, organised and safe
- Following health and safety procedures within both departments
- Assisting with displays and exhibitions of students’ work
- Maintaining and cleaning specialist equipment and resources
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience working within a school, educational setting or relevant industry role
- Be organised, proactive and able to manage their workload effectively
- Have a good understanding of health and safety practices
- Be confident supporting practical Art and Food Technology lessons
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one

The ideal candidate will have previous Cover Supervisor experience and will be confident undertaking work to the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
