A Teaching Assistant is required to work a High School based in Warrington working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and behavioural difficulties. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils with Special Educational Needs and challening behaviour. Experience working in Key Stage 5 would also be desirable. The position will be full time starting in September and will initially be until October half term but may continue. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant is required for a long term (potentially temp to perm) working in a Special School for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties and complex needs. Applicants must have Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification for this role and ideally Early Years/KS1/Primary SEN experience. The position is working 8.30-4.30 Mon-Thurs & 8.30-3.55 Fri. The role will be working in a Year 1 class supporting pupils with SLD and Autism. The Level 3 Teaching Assistants at the school are expected to be confident and professional TAs who are willing to take a more leading role in class (ultimately under the direction of the teacher) and who will cover for the class teacher for short planned absences where planning is provided for them.
