Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and boost confidence.

The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact on children’s learning and development. Previous experience working within a primary school setting is desirable.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school.
  • Experience supporting children in Key Stage 2, ideally within a Year 3 classroom.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting children’s learning.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to promote positive behaviour.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
