Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Providing individualised support
Assisting with classroom activities and developmental tasks in line with the National Curriculum
Supporting the pupil’s personal, social, and emotional development
Monitoring and recording the pupil’s progress, behaviour, and engagement
Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external agencies to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to build the pupil’s confidence and independence
Assisting with personal care, where required

What We’re Looking For:

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Recent childcare or school-based experience within the last 2 years
Ability to provide two references confirming your experience with children
A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning
Experience working 1-1 with children with additional needs is desirable but not essential

Working Hours: Flexible – 3 days per week (flexible days), 2 hours per day, during school hours (typically between 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM)

Role Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Tutors to join our team, working directly within a school environment in St Helens. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver one-on-one tuition to students within the school setting

SEN Teaching Assistant

SEN Teaching Assistant Required

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN from EYFS – Key Stage 2 at an SEN base within a primary school in St. Helen’s. This Teaching Assistant role is full-time ideally but part-time hours will be considered for September 2025.

Key Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
• Support pupils with Autism and other Special Educational Needs to access the curriculum and engage in learning

• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and support ongoing assessment

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant role:
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., NCFE, CACHE, NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) is desirable
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Recent experience working with children within the last two years
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism and special educational needs
• Excellent understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Previous experience working across KS1 and KS2 is advantageous
