ASD SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary/ Rate: £65 per day

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work across EYFS, through to Key Stage 5 at a school in the North West with a pupil with Special Educational Needs including ASD and Challenging Behaviour. This role is on a long term basis and is to start as soon as possible working full time on a long term basis.

The ideal candidate will have previous Teaching Assistant experience, working on with pupils with Autism and Challenging Behaviour. Previous experience working with pupils with Autism is highly desirable.  An understanding and training in PEC’s, Teach or Team Teach would be desirable.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 experience
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

Exclusive Education are looking to appoint a Design Technology Teacher to work in a Special Educational Needs school in the North West. The role will start in September for 2 days per week. They are looking for a teacher to take over the class and demonstrate outstanding teaching. Working in a friendly, lively and vibrant school.

The role is for a part time position working 2 days a week from September 2019 on a long term basis initially for a term but potentially for the academic year. The role would suit a good secondary trained teacher with SEN experience. It will be working in Key Stage 3 and 4 with a mixture of Year 10’s and 11’s pupils with SEMH delivering lessons in Resistant Materials and Product Design
