SEN Teaching Assistants – Full Time & Part Time

SEN Teaching Assistant – West Lancashire 

Salary/ Rate: £62-£66 per day

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work with pupils between 11-19 years of age. This role is for 5 days per week, to start in September 2019 working full time or part time on a long term basis.

The ideal candidate will have previous Teaching Assistant experience, with knowledge of ASD and dealing with challenging behaviour. An understanding or training in Team Teach would be desirable.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

SEN Primary Teaching Assistants

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint several SEN Teaching Assistants to work across EYFS through to Key Stage 2 at a Special Needs School in the Wigan area. This role is for 5 days per week, starting in September 2019 and will be ongoing for the entire academic year for the right candidates.

The ideal candidate will have previous Teaching Assistant experience, will be confident undertaking work supporting Special Educational Needs pupils.

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Exclusive Education are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant that students on a one to one and in group basis across KS3 and KS4. Team Teach is highly desirable for the role.

You will need to work alongside the Class Teacher providing whole class support as well as working on a one to one support basis to provide academic support, personal development and guidance. You must be creative in your approach in order to motivate the pupils and keep them focussed throughout the lessons. Building good relationships with the pupils as well as the parents in order to achieve progress.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a good understanding of the curriculums
  • A firm understanding of the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements
  • A charismatic and hardworking attitude
  • A genuine passion for working with children with the commitment that the children are at the centre of everything you do
  • Excellent communication skills with children, their families and your colleagues

You must have:

  • At least 6 months experience working with children in the last 2 years
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, cost of which will be met by the applicant, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Legal right to work in the UK

Teaching Assistant

Exclusive Education are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work in a local Secondary School supporting a child in a wheelchair.

The Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will support pupils’ learning in the classroom as well as some 1:1 and small group work. As a Learning Support Assistant you must have a high standard of literacy skills, together with a sense of humour and flexibility.
