One to One SEN Teaching Assistant Required
Salary/ Rate: £86-£90 per day
Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a SEN One to One TA to work at a school in Liverpool with a pupil with special educational needs. Experience of supporting children with special educational needs is essential and having an understanding of a range of SEND is required. This role is for 5 days per week.
The school are looking for a year 5 121 to start ASAP.
Working in a class with other adults to support many children across the classroom. (Needs shown below).
This role will not be working exclusively with one child but to support all the children with needs.
Overview
4 children with an EHC in place and 1 child awaiting assessment
2 children diagnosed with ASD and 5 other children with ASD traits or awaiting assessment
3 children diagnosed with ADHD and 2 other children on the pathway awaiting assessment
Total of 11 children on SEN
- Supporting children need
- Focusing in lessons
- Parallel curriculum as cannot access year group work
- Sensory circuits / sensory input activities
- Support across all subjects
- Social and emotional support – dealing with social interactions particularly on the yard
- Fine motor skills – handwriting support
- Wellcomm intervention for speech, language and communication
- Social intervention following the socially speaking programme
In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;
- Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
- Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
- Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
- Excellent knowledge of the Primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Two references working with children
- Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
