Science Technician Required

Salary/ Rate: £62-£90 per day

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a Science Technician to work across at a school in the North West. This role is for 27.5 hours per week and is to start in October on a on-going basis.

The ideal candidate will have previous technician experience providing technical support to the work of the teachers in the Science Department. The role also includes Carrying out risk assessments for practical and technical activities. Preparing necessary solutions and equipment for practical experiments and maintaining, repairing and taking inventory of apparatus.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Have relevant experience in Science Technician
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the solutions and equipment required
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

Art Instructor

Exclusive Education urgently require a SEN Instructor specialising in Art to work with pupils with Special Educational Needs in a Special Educational Needs School.

The role will be supporting pupils with really challenging behaviour and delivering the Art curriculum to them. The role is on a potentially ongoing basis until July.

You will need to work alongside the Class Teacher providing whole class support as well as working on a one to one support basis to provide academic support, personal development and guidance. You must be creative in your approach in order to motivate the pupils and keep them focussed throughout the lessons. Building good relationships with the pupils as well as the parents in order to achieve progress.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have good knowledge of Art and the curriculum
  • Have a good understanding of the curriculums
  • A firm understanding of the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements
  • A charismatic and hardworking attitude
  • A genuine passion for working with children with the commitment that the children are at the centre of everything you do
  • Excellent communication skills with children, their families and your colleagues

You must have:

  • At least 6 months experience working with children in the last 2 years
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, cost of which will be met by the applicant, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Legal right to work in the UK

Mechanics Tutor

Mechanics Tutor required for an immediate start.

The position will be working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Heath and challenging behaviour delivering the Mechanics course.

The Role:

• Teaching small classes
• Is Monday – Friday (term time only)
• Responsible for the educational development of the students
• Responsible for supporting development of social and life skills

The successful candidate will be able to work in a lab with chemicals and preparing equipment and resources for lessons. Candidates are required to have at least 6 months experience of working in a school environment in a lab.
