SEMH 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Salary/ Rate: £71-£90 per day depending on experience

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an SEMH experienced Teaching Assistant to work within a SEN Primary school in the North West. This role is start as soon as possible and up until July 2023.

The ideal candidate will be working 1:1 with a pupil in Key Stage 2 with Social, Emotional Mental Health, Trauma and Extremely Challenging Behaviour. Previous experience with SEN and is confident with de-escalation.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous EYFS, KS1and KS2, experience
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

The ideal candidate will have previous SEN Teaching Assistant experience, will be confident undertaking work to the EYFS, Key Stage 2 curriculums and must have experience in supporting pupils with SEN. This role is supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 with Autism and Extremely Challenging Behaviour. Personal care is required and consistency for the pupils is vital.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;
