SEN Teaching Assistants – North West

SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary/ Rate: £71-£80 per day

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint SEN Teaching Assistant’s to work at both Mainstream and Special Education Need schools in the Northwest area supporting pupils with varied Special Educational Needs. These roles are for 5 days per week, is to start in September 2023.

The ideal candidates will have previous SEN Teaching Assistant experience, will be confident undertaking work to the EYFS, Key Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 curriculums and must have experience in supporting pupils with SEN. Also will consider candidates with a background working in care, residential support work, sports coaching would be welcome for these roles as well as those without SEN experience but looking to build their experience in this area.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 experience
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work across EYFS, through to Key Stage 5 at a school in St Helens with pupils with Complex Needs. The candidate will need to be over the age of 23 to work here or 21 but must have a TA Qualification to work at the school. This role is for 5 days per week, is to start in ASAP working full time until July 2023.

The ideal candidate will have previous Teaching Assistant experience, working with pupils with Complex Needs. Previous experience working with pupils is highly desirable. An understanding and training in PEC’s, Teach or Team Teach would be desirable. Need to be comfortable to support with personal care.
